Kolkata already had hundreds of driving schools when I started DriveLabs. Most people told me I was too late. I did not see a crowded market. I saw a broken one. No structure, no technology, no accountability. Just a trainer who showed up when he felt like it and an RTO process nobody explained to anyone.
18 Months of Building Before a Single Student Walked In
I spent over a year building the engine before the car hit the road. A scheduling system, a full app, 314 theory questions, HR policies, legal documents. People kept asking when we were opening. I kept building. That foundation is why DriveLabs runs differently from every other driving school in this city today.
I did not see a crowded market. I saw a broken one. And broken markets are exactly where you build.
3 Cars. Real Trainers. And Bikes Coming Next.
Today DriveLabs runs 3 cars across Kolkata with trainers I personally trained from scratch. And we are not stopping at four wheels. DriveLabs Ryde, our two wheeler training product, is coming soon. Because in a city like Kolkata, structured bike training does not exist yet. We intend to fix that.
